Untrue

The artist Burial is an enigma — no one knows who he is. Just as Gotham City benefits from the good works of Batman while never discovering his secret identity, our ears are treated to the splendid, emotional sound of UK garage — with its breakbeats and house music — of someone that could be sitting next to us on the subway. The vocals on every track carry an enduring sadness, but the final track, “raver” is the one that makes the biggest impact. There aren’t enough superlatives for this one.
