If you have kids or simply appreciate good graphics and inventive storylines, then you should definitely get to know Lane. He is one talented children’s author and illustrator. Besides my passion for wine, I have a penchant for sourcing children’s books. Since my move to New York seven years ago, I have been collecting Lane’s books. His works are mesmerizing and playful with topics ranging from the historically educational John, Paul, George & Ben ($17), based on the founding fathers of the United States, to the fantastical kid alien Baloney ($16). My all-time favorite is his modern rendition of a classic: Pinocchio, the Boy ($17).
