If there’s one thing I can’t resist, it’s Portuguese sausage. Unfortunately, my favorite ones are from McDonald’s. I don’t want to think about what they put into it, but from my own taste test, it’s hands down onolicious!

Wait, the only Portuguese sausage I know is linguica — what kind of Portuguese sausage are you talking about? I’m confused and yet super excited because I love pork products… (notsomuch McDonald’s…)

The Portuguese sausage in Hawaii is derived from linguica but the flavor is unique to the islands. I’ve never found anything like it in the mainland. Here’s a good post that thoroughly explains Hawaiian Portuguese sausage:
